Setting Telkomflash dengan Modem Sierra Compass di ArchLinux

Karena tergoda untuk ngenet di rumah dan jaga2 besok kalo KKN, saya akhirnya memutuskan untuk beli modem jg. Saya memilih modem USB Sierra Compass 885 karena berdasarkan review di berbagai sumber, modem ini gak mahal tapi cukup bisa diandalkan. Dan kartu yg kebetulan saya pilih yaitu telkomflash, karena pertimbangan daerah jangkauan telkomsel yg luas berguna kalo besok dipake KKN.

Kalo untuk setting di Windows, gampang kan tinggal dobel klik installer drivernya. Setelah googling, ketemu juga cara untuk di Linux. Nah untuk di ArchLinux saya, dibutuhkan beberapa manual handling lewat konsole. Kali ini saya mencoba dg wvdial. Ni langkah2nya :

1. Install wvdialnya

sudo pacman -S wvdial

2. Cek keberadaan modem dengan perintah

lsusb

kalo udah kedetek biasanya muncul ini

3. Bikin config untuk wvdial

sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf

Ntar bakal keluar tulisan banyak lah

4. Lalu edit tu config

sudo nano /etc/wvdial.conf

Kira2 diisi ini

Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
Init3 = AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”internet”

flash yg saya cetak tebal tu adalah nama profil koneksinya

5. Lalu jajal deh dikonek-in

sudo wvdial flash

ntar bakal keluar yg kayak gini

6. Selamat! Berarti tu dah konek. Untuk mengakhiri koneksi, tekan ctrl+C

Sate Klathak

Beberapa waktu yg lalu, saya diajak sama bapak saya utk menjajal sate klathak yg muncul di koran Kompas. Sate klathak ini adalah sate kambing yg katanya empuk dan gak prengus. Sate ini berasal dari daerah Wonokromo Pleret Bantul. Warung2 yg menjual sate klathak ada di sepanjang jalan Imogiri timur.

Waktu itu masih bingung pilih warung sate yg mana. Akhirnya kita berhenti di Warung Sate pak Pong, soalnya keliatan cukup rame dan keliatan bersih. Pertamanya saya hanya pesen sate, dan saya kira sang penjual langsung dong kalo satenya tu sate klathak. Nunggu sate dibakar emang lumayan lama. Dan ternyata bau kambing disana gak seprengus kalo pas Idul Adha.

Waktu sate udah tersaji, eh ternyata bentuknya masih sate biasa. Namun karena udah lapar ya dimakan aja. Kemudian karena penasaran, kami pesen lagi, kali ini bilangnya pesen sate klathak. Dan ternyata sate klathak dibakar lebih cepat. Dan pas tersaji, waow, ternyata pake jeruji sepeda nusuk satenya. Sate ini ternyata disajikan dengan kuah gulai dan nasi. Langsung aja deh saya makan. Dan emang bener2 empuk, beda sama sate yg sebelumnya. Prengusnya pun jadi sama sekali ilang.

Pas mbayar, satu porsi sate biasa harganya Rp 11.000, sate klathak jg sama Rp 11.000. Ditambah es jeruk Rp 2000. waktu kita tanya kenapa nusuk sate klathaknya pake jeruji, katanya biar mbakarnya bisa lama biar dagingnya bisa lebih empuk. Soalnya kalo pake tusuk bambu ntar tusuknya kebakar sebelum bener2 empuk. Dan kambingnya pun katanya hanya pake wedhus gembel yg berumur dibawah 5bulan.

Saya yang sebelumnya gak suka sate, terlebih sate kambing, saat itu juga memutuskan tidak akan menyiakan masa2 muda saya utk menghindari daging kambing yg penuh kolesterol dan berguna bagi pertumbuhan tubuh saya yg kurus ini. hehehe
